Everyone has a gift. Seeing beauty in the less-than-appealing buildings happens to be Amy Foster’s gift. Alongside her husband Dan, their company Two by Two Properties, LLC is slowly changing the face of Fayette, Hardeman and Shelby county.
A good realtor is an important addition to your life, there’s no question, but what’s more important is having a realtor in your corner who is more concerned about your future than the percentage they’ll make on a sale. Amy and Dan are always on the lookout for a building that needs a little love and has loads of promise. Sometimes that building comes to them when an owner wants to sell out and retire, sometimes it comes as they drive by a building that just screams opportunity. Sometimes a client will approach them with the dream of say, a boutique, but they haven’t found the perfect building. Amy loves a challenge like this. There have been multiple occasions where she was able to pair the business dreamer with a building match made in heaven. Her goal is for the business owner to succeed and she takes that very seriously. Sometimes she meets with a potential tenant, and it is evident that the person has a great idea but just doesn’t have all the knowledge necessary to be successful. Amy takes this opportunity to mentor the potential business owner. Their success matters to her.
One of her many gifts is connecting people, connecting businesses and often connecting people to businesses. It should come as no surprise that she was one of the driving forces behind Fayette County having its own Business Network International chapter. BNI is the world’s largest networking and referral organization. Its basic motto is “Giver’s Gain”. Amy is also involved in multiple local Chamber of Commerce’s, and you should be too! Everyone makes a difference when they give in their community.
Dan and Amy love owning commercial real estate. They love renovating it and involving their whole family in the process. At the end of the day, it’s important to them that the building fits the business and contributes to the community and local economy. Local contractors often complete the triangle and everyone wins!
